Last week, Dr Beverly Donaldson attended the UCLan Challenge Today Change Tomorrow Midwifery Conference to share Soapbox’s recent work in the Gambia. Beverly spoke about the piloting of our Environmental Hygiene Training Manual which was designed to train low-literate cleaning staff in infection prevention and control and environmental hygiene using participatory training methods.
The conference was well attended and Beverly’s presentation very well received, with the presentation concluding with a short video illustrating our work in the Gambia (see below).
Soapbox were also delighted to hear that funds raised throughout the day are to be split between Soapbox and the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust. A big thank you to the event organisers and to all attendees.
